About This Role
Zarrar Innovations is looking for skilled Freelance Backend Developers to join our remote project-based developer network. This is not a permanent or full-time position. When a suitable project becomes available, developers whose skills and experience match the project requirements may be contacted and assigned to the project. The selected developer will work on the assigned project, collaborate with our team, and complete the required backend development tasks according to the project scope and timeline. We are looking for developers who are reliable, skilled, responsible, and available to work on projects when required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications for assigned projects.
- Build secure, scalable, and well-structured REST APIs.
- Design and manage databases according to project requirements.
- Implement authentication, authorization, roles, and permissions.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Optimize API performance and database queries.
- Debug and resolve backend issues and technical problems.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other project team members.
- Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Follow project-specific coding standards and development practices.
- Communicate project progress, technical challenges, and requirements with the team.
- Complete assigned tasks within agreed project timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and server-side JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Practical experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Good understanding of authentication and authorization systems.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Ability to debug issues and find practical technical solutions.
- Understanding of backend security best practices.
- Ability to work independently on assigned project tasks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand project requirements and deliver according to specifications.
- Availability to work on projects when assigned.
- Previous freelance or project-based development experience is a plus.
